G’day, and welcome to the Aussie Kids PodcastRoom. A room of information all about being Australian and a look into an Aussie primary classroom.
This project commenced in September 2006 by a group of year 6 and 7 (11 and 12 year olds) primary school students using the Mac program called Garage Band. We have grown to have over 42 500+ hits world wide.
This project fosters the love of learning science, technology and various elements within society that allows the future building of skills and knowledge.
In 2009 this series moved to a year 5 group (9 and 10 year olds) of students. It is this author’s belief that podcasting allows for
. differentiation within a classroom,
. a more intensive focus on higher order thinking skills and in turn,
. allows for creativity and innovation within the student.
